Featured Project:
Rabbit HouseWe are fixing up and insulating a 10' X 16' structure gifted to us by Buyers Real Estate Property Management. A brand new shed this size would've cost us $16,000! We are working on getting it ready for our rabbit residents, who were in need of an upgrade. Once the inside is ready for the rabbits to call home, we will begin adding on a predator proof outdoor access. We've estimated that this outdoor access will cost $500 for the materials.
Shed insulation cost - $3,500 Outdoor access materials - $500 Raised: $2,000 Goal: $4,000 |

Turkey HouseUpdate: This project is now complete and has already allowed us to rescue three baby turkeys from being raised up for slaughter!
We are acquiring an insulated coop that will house turkeys and some chickens. Arctic Chicken Coops has gifted us with a partial in-kind donation by discounting the price. One of our female turkeys needs to be separated from the male for her own safety and well being. She is a broad breasted turkey - her body has been modified by the industry to grow so large that her legs could break or become arthritic under too much strain. Our tom turkey attempts to mount her, causing her undue strain, so we are quickly organizing a way to keep her separated and comfortable. This will also increase our rescue capacity for turkeys. Raised: $2,745 Goal: $3,800 |
Trailer AcquisitionWe are setting funds aside in the budget to purchase a new or used trailer. Based on our estimates we need to raise between $15,000-$30,000 for the right size trailer with a ramp. This is a vital piece of equipment for any farm sanctuary to have and has been given top priority as a vital part of our Fire Evacuation Plan. It is also useful for any trips that need to be made to the vet when mobile vets are unavailable.
Raised: $5,000 Goal: $20,000 |

ImprovementWe are always looking for ways to improve facilities and habitats! Whether that means adding more sheltered areas for sun and rain protection, misters for the animals to keep cool on hot days, full spectrum lights for winter, or dust baths (like the one pictured here), we aim to give these animals the best life and home possible.
